Florida Werner Ladder Recall Lawyer

No one climbs a ladder expecting it to collapse, but if you purchased a recent Werner ladder model then that might happen. The company recently announced a recall of two of its most recent models. Consumers who purchased either model subject to the recall should immediately stop using it and seek a replacement. Unfortunately, this recall might come too late, and some people could fall to the ground. If you were hurt, reach out to Halpern Santos & Pinker, P.A. to schedule a free consultation. A Florida Werner ladder recall lawyer at our firm will discuss possible legal remedies, including a personal injury claim.

Risk of Collapsing

Werner Company issued a recall August 14, 2025 of its Werner 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose Ladders. The locking mechanism on these ladders can jam, which will result in a failure to fully lock into place. As a result, anyone climbing the ladder is at risk of falling when the ladder collapses beneath them.

Check your ladder to see if it is subject to the recall. The blue label on the side rail should contain an oval with the “Werner” and the words “MULTI MAX PRO.”  There is also a long black rope on the back. The recall applies to model numbers ALMP-20lAA or ALMP-24lAA.

The company sold around 122,250 units in the United States at Home Depot stores as well as at the Home Depot website from November 2021 to February 2024. You can request a refund.

Injuries can be serious, so we recommend that you do not use the ladder. Werner has received reports of 18 people falling already, which has resulted in 14 injuries. Anyone who falls could suffer from:

  • Lacerations
  • Fractures
  • Head injuries
  • Bruising
  • Back injuries
  • Herniated discs
  • Dislocated shoulder
  • Nerve damage
  • Whiplash or other neck injury

Contact our law firm if you fell using a Werner ladder. We can inspect it for a defect and whether the defect led to the fall. If so, we can seek financial compensation ranging from reimbursement for medical bills to lost wages and property damage. You might also qualify for pain and suffering compensation, which could be considerable, depending on your injuries.

Manufacturers have a duty to sell safe products in Florida. They spend millions testing their products to ensure safety. If a product left the manufacturer’s control with a defect, then the manufacturer is liable for any injuries and resulting damages.
